Practise with SubsYoga

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi, I will meet you where you are. My classes offer a systematic approach to learning called Chromatic Yoga, which prioritises the physical and mental well-being of the practitioner through intention, practise and education. This learning system can be used across all disciplines of yoga to improve the quality of your day-to-day life. Whether it’s providing space for introspection or self-inquiry to achieve greater clarity or freedom in mobility, or to avoid the chronic pains that accompany our sedentary lifestyles. I want to empower you to practise pain-free and gain autonomy in your physical and mental patterns on and off the mat.

I use functional alignment to alleviate pain and increase your awareness of how your body works, so you can improve your functionality and become flexible and stronger. As with most things in life success requires commitment and so, to realise the full potential of this method, I encourage you to commit to this practice on a regular basis. This will help your nervous and muscular system integrate these learnings, allowing you to achieve a sense of mastery in your practice and unlock your potential.

What I offer

My philosophy isn’t about perfect physical practice. It’s about authenticity. I want to use my experience to help you become aware of your physical and mental patterns, so you can unlock and align towards self-realisation.

This is how I do it:

My classes will create the best possible experience through a well-structured, step-by-step approach to learning asanas (postures).  You will have a roadmap with a clear path to the destination, a peak pose revealed through insight into relevant muscle activation and/or specific joint articulation. You will develop a deeper and more holistic understanding of how your body works, and how specific poses can strengthen and improve functionality. Simply put, it will bring the 'how' and 'why' to the 'what'.

You will also experience specialised classes with a philosophical message / theme integrated into the class. These sessions have a shorter physical practice and include guided breathwork and meditation. You will learn how to manage your energy levels through specific breathwork techniques that will regulate and strengthen your nervous system. This will help you release stress and anxiety and provide emotional equilibrium.
